ONAM A FESTIVAL OF THE HARVEST

Last August our parish was delighted to see our Keralan parishioners celebrating on a grand scale an important part of their culture.
Hopefully we will have a repeat performance during 2024 when we can expect to see our church beautifully decorated with flower petals and enjoy the traditional dancing by ladies wearing their national costumes.
Celebrating our Parish Patron Saint

Over fifty parishioners were able to stay after Mass to enjoy a shared lunch together and to celebrate St Joseph. A wonderful buffet of dishes from many different cuisines – but principally Indian dishes, delighted all.

Magnificent deserts followed and most delicious of all was the friendship shared and the opportunity to acknowledge the growth in our parish over the last eighteen months. The most welcome influx of young families has changed the profile of our parish and there is a great feeling that our parish is alive and well with at least ten nationalities worshipping together in our church. Truly catholic!
