Food Bank Support

Please, if you can, give help

Donate Food

The food bank relies on your goodwill and support.

Over 90% of the food distributed by food banks in The Russell Trust network is donated by the public – that’s why our food donations are absolutely vital to their ability to give everyone referred to them a balance of nutritious three day supply of food.

The shopping list below shows items that they need right now. This list will be updated regularly on this web page, on the collection box in the porch and posters on our notice boards along with slips handed out by our welcomers.

The list is also available on the north cotswolds website:

https://northcotswold.foodbank.org.uk/

Also caring hands for fresh food website:

https://chands.org.uk/

The donations will be collected on 2nd Sundays of the month, donations may be left when it’s convenient for you. However as collection is only once a month please check expiry dates carefully.

Thank you for your attention and donations

This is a thank you note sent to St Nicholas from the food bank

Dear Gi,

Many thanks for the generous food donation received recently from St Nicholas’s Church, Winchcombe. This weighed in at an excellent 50.74kg!

With rising prices in energy and food, we saw a marked increase in demand at our local Foodbank during 2022 particularly in the last few months. Your donation will help to ensure that our Foodbank is well stocked over coming months so that we can meet any further increase in demand, and help those in our community who are struggling.

Please may I ask you to pass on our sincere thanks to all at St Nicholas who continue to donate on a very regular basis and for their compassion and kindness to all the clients we are looking after – they are so grateful.

Kind regards,

KEVIN CARDEN
